Eastern Psychological Association

Join Eastern Psychological Association!

In a time when many feel the need to become more specialized, why join an organization which is so proudly diverse in approach? The answer is that for many psychologists, EPA represents an important opportunity to hear what is happening across the landscape of psychology and to use that information to develop their own career.

Benefits of membership include free registration at the annual meeting, at which:

  • Master teaching lectures provide tips and examples for instructors at all skill levels
  • Symposia provide platforms for discussions on technical matters as well as tenure and promotion, academic administration, laboratory and clinic management, etc.
  • Publishers present the latest textbooks for your perusal and welcome discussions with prospective authors.
  • Funding agencies make themselves available for discussion and exploration of possibilities.
  • Faculty can network, learn about opportunities for collaboration, funding, and career advancement.
  • Students can learn about graduate schools, talk with potential mentors, make connections, learn about grants and other funding, and job opportunities.

Many long-time EPA members feel that at EPA they have a unique opportunity to share ideas, problems and solutions with colleagues from outside their own expertise. Often, the resulting discussion leads to a new perspective and a fresh approach to their own problem areas. In accordance with EPA By-Laws membership status is granted to persons desiring affiliation with the Association who demonstrate one of the following five qualifications.
