Information for Students

What does EPA offer students?

  • Students can present their own research.
  • Students can learn about graduate schools, talk with potential mentors, make connections, learn about grants and other funding, and job opportunities.
  • Students can attend symposia that entail career development discussions about applying for positions, tenure and promotion, academic administration, laboratory and clinic management, etc.
  • Funding agencies make themselves available for discussion and exploration of research and training possibilities.
  • Opportunities to socialize with future colleagues during conventions in major cities.

Psi Chi Honor Society at EPA

According to it's web site, "Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology." Psi Chi offers sessions developed with students in mind throughout the convention. It also sponsors research competitions and other awards for outstanding students.
