does EPA offer students?
- Students can present their own research.
- Students
can learn about graduate schools, talk with potential
mentors, make connections, learn about grants and other
funding, and job opportunities.
- Students
can attend symposia that entail career development
discussions about applying for positions, tenure and
promotion, academic administration, laboratory and
clinic management,
etc.
- Funding
agencies make themselves available for discussion and
exploration of research and training possibilities.
- Opportunities
to socialize with future colleagues during conventions
in major cities.
Psi
Chi Honor Society at EPA
According
to it's web site, "Psi Chi is the National Honor
Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes
of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence
in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology." Psi
Chi offers sessions developed with students in mind throughout
the convention. It also sponsors research competitions
and other awards for outstanding students.
